Arena premature resignation?

A serious solution that matches are won by immediate resignation only half points will win tournaments
@jvs: If you resign before moving in Arena, it doesn't seem to affect ratings. The only drawback is breaking the streak.

I don't mean to call out anyone by any means, because I think this is a perfectly an okay thing to do, but you can see the losses of this strong player, as an example:

How about taking 4 points from the player that resigns without playing? It`s simple to be implemented and efficient to break this pattern.
I think Bear's #13 suggestion might be closer to something that is reasonable.

In major tournaments there's rules concerning early draws. I think that a penalty system for early resignation is also reasonable.
I agree with BearJr and Clarkey. Perhaps redefining "hot streak" to penalize such behavior--or simply an outright penalty--is appropriate.

(Or maybe delay the next pairing for a person who quickly resigns? That would communicate the message more effectively, I think.)
Wouldn't the most simple solution be to hide the opponent's rating in the arena? That way, the player can only resign in reaction to the position, not the opponent.
