Training puzzles

I've been doing a lot of training puzzles and i really like them. However, there is a certain type of puzzle that should really be removed altogether. I'm not sure about the easier ones, but there are loads of 2200+ puzzles that are just pointless. If the attacking side has 5 pieces against a lone King, it makes not one scrap of difference if you mate them in 3 or 4 moves.

I would suggest that, as a matter of course, all puzzles where the attacking side is already 5.00+ points ahead in evaluation should just be scrapped altogether. I just had 5 or 6 puzzles where i was failed because i didn't find a specific mate, when almost any move leads to mate. These sort of puzzles serve absolutely no training value at all. I'm sure they are selected based on a 'jump' in computer evaluation, but once a side is up two or three pieces, these evaluation jumps are inevitable as the defending side has insufficient material to defend. Personally, i don't need to practice converting a massive material advantage. If the puzzles where instead chosen when the evaluation jumps from a level evaluation, they would probably be more useful as a training position.

That aside, i really do love the puzzles here a lot. I have used chesstempo for years, but the positions on lichess are much more realistic. Keep up the good work, this site is just brilliant!! :)
