about real chess adaptation

have you ever suffer from this problem?
i played in a tournament yesterday and i did not play well on the real chess board. :)
i always play chess with my computer.
what do you think about this ? playing 3d chess is important?
I suffer from this as well.

I very, very rarely play OTB. When I do, I simply don't see the board the same way. I miss attacks and miscalculate all the time.

I think the reason is due to the fact that a real board is significantly larger than a 2d board on a screen. Even with 3d pieces, the board itself is still 2d and is much smaller than a real board.

3d pieces might help you a little, but really the best way is to focus more on the position while playing OTB, and to simply play more games OTB, imo.
