hiding information; opponents name and rating + spectators of your game

good day sirs and possible misses
i think most people play better chess if they had an option to not see their opponents rating. if someone is lower rated than you, one tends to play a little more hope chess in the pursuit of cheepos. on the other hand when someone is stronger, one tends to resign a little sooner as they feel hopeless and stop fighting.

i got this idea when i tried out icc, i found this to be great feature and would like to see it here.

i can speak for myself but i feel there are many chess players with anxiety and having an option to also hide who is watching the game may help too. i often find it difficult to play my potential when seeing spectators. would be nice to hide this like what happens on chess.com

if only granted one wish it would be to disable ratings, than disable all their information while playing and thirdly option to disable who else maybe viewing your games.

thank you for your time and consideration.
+1 I think this is a great idea, mostly because everything you described, tends to be me.
I understand the point of the idea, but does this mean your rating always will be hidden from others? If not, they can check before the match for ex.
I think it would be a very good idea as a preference or something. +1
good sir norweigian,
i do not know how this can be implemented but the idea is to possible toggle it on your end and it should not effect what others see as it could be a personal setting? e.g. having ratings disabled on your computer would not preclude another from seeing your own rating.

thank you for the support good sir dan.

for those interested, i found a temporary fix one can use. it involves adblocking the frames?(i do not know much about coding) the issue with blocking the players rating is it also blocks their name, your name and your points as well. if one is really bothered by ratings than this is an acceptable compromise.

the frame for the chat is;
<DIV
class="watchers" >

and the one for the both players ratings and names is
<A
class="text user_link online is-green"
href="/@/logicallycompromised" >
The way it can be done, is to (as you mensioned) not know your opponents nick, rating or anything -same with viewers. But if you think about it, it gets more unrealistic in that way that it goes away even more from OTB chess.
However I think you are right in that way that we play more solid against stronger opponents, and more risky against lower rated.
im not really afraid of higher rated players but i do think it will be harder, this idea is good
