GM Hipólito Asis Gargatagli

Jugando al ajedrez desde 2001. Empecé a dar lecciones en 2003.
Hice el título de MI bastante fácil, en 2005 ya alcanzé el elo y las normas para obtener el título, pero luego tuve que pelear mucho para lograr el título de GM (hice mi última norma en 2018), porque luché tanto que creo que saber cuál es la forma de mejorar, qué es importante y qué es una pérdida de tiempo en términos de mejora del ajedrez.

Playing chess since 2001. I started giving lessons in 2003.
I made the IM title pretty easy, in 2005 I already made all the norms and achieved the rating, but then I struggled a lot to achieve the GM title (I made my last norm in 2018), because I struggled so hard I think I know which is the way to improve, what is important and what is a waste of time in terms of chess improvement.

Llevo dando clases desde el año 2003, generalmente a gente de nivel 1800+.

I have been teaching since 2003, generally to people of level 1800+.

Mi entrenamiento se centra principalmente en aperturas y medio juego. En la apertura, la idea es construir un repertorio fuerte con ambos colores que dé la oportunidad de jugar siempre por la victoria. En el medio juego mi método es estudiar y analizar las partidas del alumno para encontrar las debilidades en su juego y mejorarlo, además creo que es muy importante tener una muy buena comprensión de la táctica basada en una buena intuición y un buen cálculo.

My training is focused mainly in openings and middlegame. In the opening, the idea is to build a strong repertoire with both colour that will give chances to play always for a win. In the middlegame my method is to study and analyze the games of the student to find the weaknesses in his/her play and improve it, also I believe is very important to have a very good understanding of tactics based on good intuition and good calculation.

Utilizo Skype/Zoom y Chessbase para hacer las lecciones y Lichess para los juegos de entrenamiento. Después de la lección enviaré al alumno todo el material que hemos realizado en un archivo de Chessbase. Estoy abierto a agregar nuevas ideas o herramientas si mi estudiante lo desea.

I use Skype / Zoom and Chessbase to do the lessons and Lichess for the training games. After the lesson I will send the student all the material that we have made in a Chessbase file. I am open to adding new ideas or tools if my student wishes.
