Lichess Bans Keyboard

Well thats an entirely different thing, it has nothing to do with keyboard. My point is that when everyone uses keyboard, the game depends less on mouse clicking.

if you don't know what to think and what move to play, mouse speed doesn't matter

good bullet players could probably keep up with each other. and good kb players could do the same.
but the problem i have with kb is the multipremove function, which most kb extensions have.

also, "input moves with keyboard" is absolutely related to keyboard. it literally has keyboard in the heading.

After Such modification mouse and keyboard are utilized within gameplay.

FOR EXAMPLE:
On an empty board to promote a H pawn starting at H2 you must Press the corresponding Pawn up Key "W" and hover over H4
this will cause the pawn to move from H2-H4 If you are still holding down the "W" key then you can move or premove to H5 by just moving your mouse cursor over the H5 square whilst the "W" key is pressed on your keyboard.

TLDR;
For more information go to Chrome webstore on a desktop PC and search for "lichess keyboard input"
and you'll see videos information there and can also decide to download the extention for free there if you wish to use it.

I use keyboard to play rapid or blitz, is it ok?

i don't really have a problem with keyboard as an input method, my problem is with multipremove (which many kb extensions have) since it gives an unfair advantage.

so why dont they mention multipremove instead of kb, using the word"keyboard" only multiple times

In the article which is not/may not be released in the future.
they carpet bomb both the original Keyboard extension (which i use) and newer variant of it "multi-Premoves keyboard extension".

But there was chatter of banning the original keyboard extention well before the Multi-Premoves KB was created
and If you plan to get rid of basic original keyboard extension you inherently get rid of the Multi variant. as well.

KB = keyboard extension Multi = multi-premoves keyboard extension Both versions fall under the category of Keyboard

both function the same with the only difference being multiple consecutive premoves on the multi-KB extention
as opposed to the 1 premove per move you get on regular KB.

You should at least make it so that you can choose to play a person with kb and have a separate rating system for kb, some people don’t want to deal with the unfair advantage of adding a new feature (multi-premove) and also the other unfair speed advantages
