Glory to Ukraine! Delete russian members for 2 days and support Ukrainian army!

In connection with the events on the territory of Ukraine. As a sign of solidarity and support, I propose to block all Russian members for two days as a threat to the EU and the world.
Yes, and I will gladly go to all liquor shops and tell them I will remove the vodka from their shelves in this effort to punish the Russians. Excuse me if I am a little drunk tonight.
I think that’s a terrible idea...no need to punish the Russian people themselves!!

That would be banning hundreds of innocent Russian users.
I am interested. Would you call Germans of 1930-40s innocent? I mean, you may think that Hitler was just a crazy private person and did not represent "all Germans". There should be no separation between russian people and their state.
Terrible idea, don't put the blame on Russian citizens, who some of which, also condemn the war. Some Russians are even protesting in the streets despite dictatorship and fear of being locked up, it is even possible that more Russians are against it but are too afraid to speak up. If anything you should share truth with them to fight any propaganda and misinformation against your country. We shouldn't go for more division and hate, that's just my opinion.

Stay strong friend !
Second army in the world Russia , attaked our country with help and support Belorus. They killed our mothers and sons. And in russia 90% votes was for Putin like a president, this speaks about them what this people bealive him. But yours sites can't bloced for two days, russions members.

Sure Hitler was elected, but here Putin basically changed the constitution to be able to have as many consecutive presidential terms as possible, killed opposition, and possibly rigged elections. It is fair, in my opinion, to separate citizens and state in this case, because even if they wanted too, the citizens wouldn't be able to get rid of Putin, not without a civil war at least.
I hope you realize that there are so many russian citizens protesting against the war, arguably the majority of them. If I'm not mistaken, a thousand were arrested for that cause, and many also died. You're making the situation even worse for the most vulnerable stakeholders. Now in the perspective of Ukraine, even if your model does target the right people, you think banning Russians from lichess will make a difference?

"oh no here comes putin with an invasion, how to help ukraine?"
"i know, lets ban russians from lichess for 2 days!"

That sound reasonable? I think not.

Also, I'm sure you haven't seen this forum: lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/i-call-on-lichess-to-ban-russia-in-social-protest?page=1

Take a look at some of the opposing sides insights. This argument isn't worth having and isn't going to go anywhere.

Just don't understand why the ban should be limited for two days :)

@meedos russian president and russian state is a full responsibility of russian people. they made it by their own hands over many years. just like Germans created Hitler in the past.
