When playing blindfolded, I feel that part of the fun is impressing your opponent (if only by not blundering). At the moment, when playing blindfolded on lichess, there is no way for the opponent to know you're playing blind unless you tell them. Would it be possible for a small symbol to appear somewhere when a user is in blind mode? I feel that this would make blind mode much more attractive. And it would dispense me from explaining why I left my queen hanging on move 12... :)

I play blindfold sometimes and it would be nice to let my opponent know BUT ONLY SOMETIMES.

There are many ways to cheat a blindfolded game (such as opening it in an incognito window or hovering over the names in the rating card to see the miniboard, which reveals pieces) which gives no real merit to blindfolding aside from entertaining yourself. There is not much value proving to your opponent that you are playing blindfolded, merely telling them that you are is good enough.
honestly when someone tells me they are playing blindfold i laugh, start giving up pawns / putting pieces in crazy places and always win. i assume most people will do this, so please don't add a "your opponent is playing blindfold" thing unless its optional, it will ruin chess for them.
I record my blindfold games and I do not tab to different browsers for the purpose of "cheating."
