At seeing that German11 has played more than 600,000 games, I thought that his rating must be something like 2500. But, as it turned out, it oscillates between 1300 and 1400. Does that mean that merely playing chess does not help one to play better and better?

It looks like german11 is the third by most games online ever ( after famous A6648 with 734000+ and WFM( I am surprised) with 634000+ from ICC). But, ICC is like 15 years older than lichess. Also, does somebody know, which player has the most games on .com website? Last time I checked it was around 450000 2 years ago.
