It's been happening to me tonight also. But they'll have you believe Lichess never lags. I live in a gigbit city, so I know for a fact my internet doesn't hang. Just come back later. It's intermittent.

I did refresh, and it worked momentarily, but it persisted. And in a bullet or hyperbullet game, a few seconds can mean the entire game. I play on numerous site, and this is mainly a Lichess problem. It happens from time to time elsewhere, but it's a common occurrence here.

But that has to be something (at least partly) on the user side. I myself never had that problem in the last year or so.
Maybe lichess doesn't run perfectly on your browser version. (dunno, just guessing)
