do you have such a thing?

many people say that I'm always not happy with anything. Recently I've brought myself to the point that I'm constantly idealizing what's coming: I'm going to a new city - I imagine how f*cking awesome it will be there, and then I get upset because I imagined it earlier in a better way than what I saw in reality. There are many similar cases. Have you ever had this and how do you deal with it? (It's hard not to fantasize, I've tried)
Just a thought. Perhaps focus more on the journey than the destination in any situation. Be in the present tense, not past or future. I've had the thought Enjoy the Journey in my mind for a long time, it helps.
