2020 was the year where I definitely improved my standard chess, I reached 1900 in blitz and 2000 in rapid, both milestones I never thought I'd achieve. Rapid especially, passing from 1909 to 2003 without losing a single rated game, winning 16 games in a row was outstanding.
Though, in variants (and when I say variants I mean mostly crazyhouse) 2020 was a bad year. After making my high at 2120 in 2018, during both 2019 and 2020 I could not improve myself and instead, it was hard to even stay at 2000 in many occasions. And that is why at one point I decided to put crazyhouse aside and concentrate on my standard skills.
However, there is one game that happened in the Shield of March 2020, that made me really proud of myself, for how I fought and never gave up until I checkmated my opponent, whom I consider a top player in this variant: lichess.org/P22p4dRz/black#0
To be noticed that from move 31 I was playing with less than 10 seconds and he had more than two minutes.
